Information we use
KinPeer processes account identity, profile and collaboration details, projects, messages, connection choices, security events and optional contact information to operate and protect the service. Contact details are private unless you expressly approve sharing a channel with a connected member.
Verification and security
We use email verification, one-time codes, optional authenticator-based two-factor authentication, rate limiting, access controls and audit logging. Never send a password or one-time code to another member or administrator.
Administrative messages
Authorized KinPeer administrators may send account, safety, usage-policy and service-awareness emails to an individual member or all active members. These messages use the sign-in address stored on the account and are recorded for operational accountability.
Profile deletion and retention
Self-service deletion requires a reason and a code sent to the verified sign-in email. We remove public visibility, contact data, linked login credentials and personal profile fields, then disable the account. The username remains reserved. Messages, projects, uploaded files, reports, deletion reasons and security or audit records may be retained under a neutral “Deleted member” identity to preserve conversations, prevent abuse, resolve disputes and meet legal or operational obligations.
Your choices
You can update profile information, control discoverability and public indexing, revoke shared contact channels, configure two-factor authentication, or start account deletion from Profile settings. Username and sign-in email are locked identifiers; contact support if either is incorrect.
